Ready for a night of legendary partying, three college students must weigh the pros and cons of calling the police when faced with an unexpected situation. Comedy,Drama,Thriller Saw this back at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival Emergency is an improved from director Carey Williams after his last feature R#J that also premiered at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival which was a mess. Emergency is the type of movie where you can call your friends, bring food and drinks, and have a good time watching and laughing at the screen. It's like the movie "Superbad" but with more serious commentary subjects included. The movie is interesting and it never fails to make you bored. Williams captures an accurate college lifestyle and interesting conversations from the characters displayed. The actor's chemistry and relationships really did help to sell this movie throughout and I applaud them for that. But it never really did wow me as the story didn't really give me much to invest as the movie continues. It become quite predictable and slacking as it goes on. Music choices that felt all over the place and some really really dumb decisions honestly annoyed me quite a bit. But for what is is, it is a fun movie. A fun decent comedy movie. Rating: B-
